There is a Coonce Cemetery in Callaway Co, MO. Buried there are: Abram Jerry Coonce b.1855 d.1877, his parents - Abraham Coonce & Christiana Bryant and Abrahams parents - John Coonce & Barbara Rudy
I don't know if this is your line or not, but worth checking into. Does your father know who his grandfather was? Also suggest going to Historical Library in Columbia & looking up Census records.
