The line of Samuel Coon has not been very well researched and documented, but I have a lot of information - although it's still a bit in disarray. Most of them were in the Greenville and Piqua, Ohio area.

Apparently the McLean's and the Coons were close. Two of Nancy Caroline's sisters married McLeans. The McLeans came to Darke Co., with the Coon's and apparently with other North's and some Shellenbergers from Fairfield County, OH. I use a service that lets me search old newspapers and the Piqua newspaper is loaded with references to these people. A lot is the usual daily stuff about who visited who, but sometimes there are some gems. It's a lot more intersting to read about their lives than it is to just collect names, dates, and places.
