in the book, Mattie Coon is listed only one time. As a child of Charles A.M. and Caroline (Swayze) Coon. He was born in Wilkinson County, MS. Their children were 1. Helen C. Coon born 1850-1851.
Then he married a Martha (Lanehart) and children of Charles A.M. and Martha all presumed born in Wilkinson Co. Ms. his 2nd but her first child Alice C. born 1857; married 7 June 1877 in Wilkinson Co., Edward E. Richardson
3. Amanda A. Coon born 1860.
4. Charles A. Coon born May 1863; married in 1884 Jessie O'Kelley: she was born January 1863 in Ms. in 1900's they had eight children.
5. Mattie Coon born 1865-1866; married first, 26 November 1885 in Wilkinson Co. Hunter R. Richardson; and second, 10 Aprin 1904 in Wilkinson Co., Jon Kilroy.
6. Hamford Coon born 1879-1880.
7. Lee Coon born 1872 - 1873.
8 Clarence S. Coon (I found that the S stood for Seymour) born 2-5-1876; married 25 April 1901 in Wilkinson Co. Maude S. Moore
9. Ada A. Coon born February 1880; married 6 November 1907 in Wilkinson Co., John Davis.
