I am searching for info on or the family of Phoebe Coon who was born ca 1804 in Ohio and married Thomas Hale (b. ca 1803 PA) about 1824 and whose three known children were born in Ohio between 1825 and 1830. Thomas Hale was a wheelwright and Thomas and Phoebe moved to Greene Co., MO (where they lived is now Webster Co., MO) before 1850. One of their children, Susan, married a Wise and was living in Ohio as late as 1859. Another of their children George Douglas Hale was a well known and respected Judge in Douglas Co., MO. The third known child, Sarah, was my ggg-grandmother and was married to Logan F. Hargis who was a Justice of the Peace and the first Superintendant of Schools for Benton Township, Webster Co., MO. It is believed that Thomas Hale's father was George Hale.
