Well, "my" Coon family stayed right in the Westerly area!

There is an excellent article by Vera Robinson in Beaman's series, Rhode Island Genealogical Register: 6:239.

Maxine Phelps Lines also published quite a bit of research in 1990 on the family, available on microfilm from the LDS Family History Center.
