WAS THERE A SETTLEMENT OF THIS WILL AND WHEN? I have looked over the will of Francis Ignatious Coomes. I believe I
have read where the unborn child born about 1817 was a particular person but has never been proven. It seems to me it is just as possible it could have been James Tucker Coomes. The mother's name was Nancy and James had a daughter Nancy. Other names in the family correspond with our Coomes family, even Walter which at that time seems to be unusual.
Notice what this says on the back of the will: The executors were to be his wife Nancy and Annafnan Tucker. Putting myself in Nancy's place, if this Annafnan Tucker was helpful with the death arrangements, settling the will and even possibly delivering the unborn child It is likely she would have named him Tucker. A distant cousin tells that she only remembers him being spoken of as Tucker.
