Hi there... just discovered today that Newell Coombs (Coombs) was my 3g-grandfather. His daughter Eva married John A. Blair and they settled in Trumbull County, OH. No idea where the "Brown" surname has come in.
I am looking for anyone who may have information on Newell and his family. I know that he married his first wife in 1856 in Trumbull County, OH and his second wife in 1868 in Green County Wisconsin and that he died after 1910 in Friendville, KS.
He is the son of Ogden Combs and Mary Peck and grandson of Ebenezer Newell Combs and Mary Ann Humiston.
Any relations out there have more information on Newell and perhaps documentation and photos?
Much appreciated if someone can help me work out this new line in my family. Been stuck at them for five years and finally discovered my 3g-grandmother's death certificate that lists Newell and Diana.
