Hi Bob,
Thank you for the look up, but Belmont's records burned in the late 1870's, so there would have been nothing to microfilm. Unless there was a church or newspaper in that time frame, I believe I have a dead end. My gut feeling is that Charles died, or went to Canada after the 1830 census. If I only knew what the wife's name was or the other daughter I might have a lead. I know that Caroline and Samuel were married in 1848, but do not know where. Samuel and Caroline surface in 1850 in MA. They had 3 children, Charles, Hattie and Caroline. Charles and Hattie both died in infancy and are buried with Samuel & Caroline in Everett, MA. Caroline died in 1858 at age 30. Their other daughter Caroline Coombs Blaisdell is in the 1860 census in Charlestown with Samuel's 2 wife, in the 1870 census in Brooklyn, NY and then disappears. Brooklyn has no record of a marriage or death. Samuel died in 1876 in Brooklyn and his 2nd wife Mary and their son Frank wind up in Waltham, MA.in the 1880 Census with her sister Charlotte. I cannot find any of the family in the 1900 censuses. 1910 I find Mary in Cohasset with another sister, and in the 1920 census, I find her with another sister in Scituate. MA records to not reveal any marriage or death for Caroline Coombs Blaisdell.
Again, Thank you for your help.
Carol
