I didn't find much in my perusal of ANTHONY, etc, however here are a few scraps. There were about three references to Caroline, but most born too late. Of the Charleses, all were born too late, I did find one that would fit in the time frame. Charles son of Asa4 (wife Abigail Thomas), George3,Peter2, Anthony1. This Charles had no birth date, but one of his siblings (John A.)was born 15 March 1805 in Brunswick.)No further mention of this Charles.
I happened to have a copy of George Varney's ca. 1875 GAZETEER OF MAINE on hand and found that Belmont was a very small community given mostly to farming and with only two small mills. This would limit Charles's employment opportunities. Coombses were heavy into blacksmithing, and Asa was a blacksmith. My great-grandfather (a descendant of Asa) was a blacksmith who worked in a small mill. Also the commercial center of Belmont was Belfast and the two towns abutt.
Maine local records were gathered and micro-filmed by the state around 1980 so you might do well to inquire there.
