Thanks. It might be easier to communicate directly by email, if you'd like. I'm at fcmorrone@yahoo.com. Where do you get this information? There is a site at RootsWeb that alleges George was the son of Edward Coombs & Sarah Chubback & was born in Eastport, but I have been unable to contact that person and find out where that came from. Also, the 1850 census says he was age 39 (so born c. 1811) & born in Mass. I'm not disputing your facts, just wondering if there is some basis for the data. Also, do you have any idea what became of Rebecca if he died in 1843? The "Averill Family" gives a marriage date of 5 July 1842 for them as opposed to the 1841 date in the Crawford VR. Also, if he survived to the 1850 census he couldn't have died in 1843. Does it make sense he was 7 years younger than wife? Could be. Frank
