I am searching my great-greatgrandfather's line. He was Philip Coombes Chr. 25/10/1807 at Iwerne Minster, Dorset, England. He married Susannah Snook on 29/12/1836 at St. Peter's, Shaftsbury, Dorset, England. Witnesses to their marriage were Isaac Coombs and Eleanora Baker.

Philip, Susannah and their 5 children, Henry Albert B. 26/12/1839, Gillingham, Dorset, James C. 10/10/1840, St. Peters, Dorset, Eliza B. 1842 Shaftsbury, John B. 24/5/1844, Shaftsbury and Edward B. 1847, Shaftsbury migrated to New South Wales, Australia. They travelled on the vessel "Victoria" arriving on 2/9/1849, Newcastle, NSW. Four further children were born to them in NSW, Harriett, Martha, Charles and William.

Philip died 10/3/1870 and Susannah on 29/10/1907 both at Forbes River, New South Wales.

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who may link into these lines, particularly any connections to Coombes/Coombs, Snook of Marnhull, Iwerne Minster, Iwerne Courtnay, Gillingham, Shaftesbury.

Thanking you.

Denise
