Could any please lookup 1851 census for Combes in London, possibly at St Lukes parish please.I know they had a Brewery called Messrs Combe & company ltd at Castle street. I have a elizabeth Davidson nee coombes in 81 census aged 46yrs. Her first born was richard davidson born at St lukes abt 1857. then the family moved to Stratford, Essex where luke(abt1862)and sarah(abt 1866) were born. Then margret(abt1868) and elizabeth h(abt1872) and jane(abt1874) were born at Newcastle,Northumberland and finally mary(abt1879) was born at Darlington, co Durham, were my family roots stayed. The one thing I know were that the coombes were in the brewery trade and were well off for that time period. that they were'nt to happy that elizabeth married ??? Davidson because they thought she was marrying beneath herself.So would be nice to have her parents and family located.
So if any one can help I would be ever so grateful because i'm really stuck.
