I think it's possible that your George could be from the same family. The George I have was 11 at the time of the 1851 census, and living with his mother Sarah, sister Mary, aged 8 and 'my' Richard aged 5, as well as Sarah Harriss aged 65. Have you been able to find a registration for a birth? It might be worth trying to find one for the right time to see if we can match parents! My only possible candidate for Richard seems to be a Richard Harris Coombs, mother Sarah (formerly Harris) and father George, registered in Millbrook, South Stoneham in 1845. I have been looking on the 1841 census for Millbrook to try and find the family and verify (or rule out!) what I have found, but have had no luck as yet.Richard's marriage cert. also shows blank for father's name.
