You are very welcome,
had a few more minutes to spare whilst waiting for the family yo wake up, so looked for Eva. Out of the 2 possible surnames, the only match for a Eva around the age of 24 in Lancashire was the Clark.
Checked the 1901 census using the decoder for any Clark in Bootle. There were too many, so I had to break the search into names for John & then ages to find any children.
The family were:
Head John Clark Born Bootle Living Bootle aged 29 (1872) Occupation was House Painter
Wife Eva Clark Born Liverpool Living Bootle age 24 (1877)
son Edward Clark Born Bootle Living Bootle age 2 m (1901)
Dau Eva Clark Born Bootle Living Bootle age 1 (1900)
You can see that John was a typical victorian old guard putting his son before the elder daughter.
Do you know the connection between Eva & the Coombes? She must be related somewhere
Anyway regards & good luck
Malcolm
