Dear Doreen, It would help if you could put dates etc on any requests. I think I have found a possible death for Joseph. Age fits approx. with what was on the 1881 census: Deaths Dec Quarter 1889 Coombe Joseph 73 W. Derby 8b 293 Death found for Susan: Deaths Jun 1884 Coombe Susan Jane 64 W.Derby 8b 333 Also found their daughter & son in law in the 1891 census in Kirkdale, Liverpool. Sorry but I could not make out the address. It was No 12 and looks like 'Glendowney' Street Head George R Bridge age: 38 Occ: Mariner Born: Essex, Halstead Wife Emily H age:34 Born: Devon, Forgan Dau Emily G age: 9 Born: Lancashire, Liverpool Dau Floris S age: 5 Born: Lancashire, Liverpool Son Stephen A age: 4 Born: Lancashire, Liverpool Son Joseph G age: 1 Born: Lancashire, Liverpool Niece Eva Mann age: 14 Born: Lancashire, Liverpool Eva looks as if she was adopted by the family. Looked up her birth & found possible match: Births Mar 1877 Mann Eva W. Derby 8b 254 There was no Eva Mann aged around 24 born in Liverpool in the 1901 census, so she must have been married by then. Checked & found her: Marriages Jun 1898 Mann Eva W Derby 8b 778 married to a: CLARK, John William or Southward, John Also found George & family on the 1901 census: George BRIDGE 49 1852 Essex Halstead Bootle Cum Linacre Ship Watchman Emily BRIDGE 44 1857 England Torquay Bootle Cum Linacre Emily BRIDGE 19 1882 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre General Stationer Florie BRIDGE 16 1885 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre Tobacco & Cigarette Works Stephen BRIDGE 15 1886 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre General Labourer Joseph BRIDGE 11 1890 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre May BRIDGE 8 1893 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre Nellie BRIDGE 6 1895 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre Charlie BRIDGE 5 1896 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre Eva BRIDGE 3 1898 Lancs Liverpool Bootle Cum Linacre Only thing about the 1901 census info above is that I am unable to see the address or any other people who may be staying with the family. You would have to pay to see the full census reading. All the codes I gave you with the birth, marriage or death will be enough information for you to obtain the certificate from the GRO. The cheapest way to buy from them is over the internet at 1837.com. It costs you £7.00 as long as you are based in the UK & takes 4 working days. http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/ I found the info on the IGI about Joseph & Susan's marriage & also children. I wonder why there was no mention of Emily? Maybe the family had moved on by then. Also she has put down different places of birth in all 3 censuses. I could not locate her birth or christening on the IGI Also checked the 1851 census for Devon. Joseph was not there. Hope this helps Regards Malcolm Mackenzie Notify Administrator about this message?
