Isaac Coolidge was the son of John/Ann Russell and had two sons, Isaac and John. Isaac was the land surveyor for William Bingham for the 2 million acres of land Bingham purchased in Maine and specifically the town of Gouldsborough ME. One genealogy source says that the SURVEY notebooks and records of Coolidge are in the possession of descendants; one list was Prof Martin W Sampson of Cornell Univ Ithaca NY. I am looking for the survey sketches, field notes, diaries and any other information for these surveys. The survey was done in the 1790's. A set of maps drawn from the surveys was completed in the Bingham Land Office in Wellsboro PA by John Dean and a copy of the maps are at the Library of Congress [but no surveyor notes].
