I don't know if this is a connection or not but I have searched in vain for a Coolidge family who lived in EauClaire, WI, about 1875.
My great grandfather was born William Kirkham in Euc Calire, WI on 31 July 1875. Family oral tradition says that his parents were killed in a house fire when he was a young boy. He was adopted by a neighboring Coolidge family who had a son about the same age. They changed his name legally to
William Kirkham Coolidge.
Accordingto census records for EauClaire County, WI in 1880 show a C. H. Coolidge among other Coolidges. I know it's a long shot but perhaps this lead may assist you in finding the Coolidges you are looking for.
