Hi Lee, I've been researching my greatx4 grandfather Martin Cooley's family pretty intensely for a number of years. Here's what I have on his revolutionary war record, taken from Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution, 17 Volume set, Volume 3, page 962: Cooley, Martin, Sunderland. Private, Capt. Noadiah Leonard's co., Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775; service, 7 days; also, Capt. Leonard's co., Col. Benjamin Ruggles Woodbridge's (25th) regt.; receipt for advance pay dated Cambridge, June 24, 1775; also, Corporal, same co. and regt.; company return [probably Sept., 1775]; also, order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money dated Camp at Cambridge, Oct. 31, 1775. COOLEY, Martin of Sunderland, Sergeant. Capt. Reuben Dickinson's Co., Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's Regt., pay abstract for travel allowance to Ticonderoga and home in 1776. Mass. Soldiers and Sailors. COOLEY, Martin of Sunderland, Corporal. Capt. Noadiah Leonard's Co., Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's Regt., muster roll dated Oct., enlisted Apr. 27, 1775; service 3 mos. 12 days. Mass. Soldiers and Sailors. COOLEY, Martin, Private. Capt. Noadiah Leonard's Co., Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's Regt., April 1775; same company, (25th) Regt., June 1775, and Corporal, 1776, same company. Mass. Soldiers and Sailors. Hope this helps, Tim Newcomb Notify Administrator about this message?
