Betty Joyce Bonds, 65, of Crossville, passed away June 25, 2001. Funeral services were conducted June 28 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Gene Burgess officiated.
Mrs. Bonds was born Sept. 26, 1935, in Crossville.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie H. Bonds of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Tami J. and Tony Brown of Pleasant Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Todd and Elizabeth Bonds of Crossville; son, Jimmy Stephen Bonds of Nashville; sister, Jessie Parker of Pleasant Hill; brothers, Malcom Cooley of Chattanooga and Kenneth Cooley of Georgia; special sister-in-law, Joyce Saunders; granddaughters, Kachai Mayers and Victoria Brown; grandsons, Joshua, Zackery, Brent, Jimmy Lee and Andrew Bonds; great-grandson, Jakob Quenn Mayers; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Lee Hayes; father, Jesse Robert Cooley; stepfather, Ezra Hayes; and brother, Nelson E. Hayes.
Pallbearers were Joshua Bonds, Zackery Bonds, Bill Cooley, Jeremy Hayes, Michael Parker and Charlie Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
