Hi, I'm am related to Joseph Cookson Sr. and Christina Vandergriff. They had another son Leonard born in Tn. 1824 and died 1892. Aaron was the fourth child of the couple. I have tat he was born in 1832 and dies in Texas either in 1890 or 1893. He married on 12-121853 to Mary Elizabeth Taylor in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The information I have indicates he may have been a Captain in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Mary Elizabeth died on July 3, 1864. He married Martha J. Wilkerson on March 3, 1867 at
Cape Girardeau Mo. Ther is more information, I have a book I purchased from Pete Cookston, the information on Aaron was sent in by Judy Cookson Rt. 1 Box 29 Puxico, Mo. If you need more info, just e-mail me.
