Hi, I am looking for where a public house (beerhouse) was situated in Hartford Cheshire England in the 1800's called "The Royal Oak". Evidence for it's existance is on various censuses at the time and particularly relating to the family of Joseph and Ellen Cookson, where Joseph was described as both publican and grocer. On a recent visit to Hartford, people I spoke to were unable to recall an establishment by this name. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Alan Cookson Notify Administrator about this message?
