My Cooksey connection started 29 December 1785 in
Greenville County, Va when my great, great, great
grandfather Edmund Adams married Elizabeth Cooksey
daughter of John Baptist Cooksey and Mary Strait.
John Baptist's parents were John Cooksey, Sr.and
Mary Reed. The next generation was Samuel
Cooksey and Christian Tennison.
Christian's parents were Justinian Tennison and
Elizabeth Shanks.
