My great-grandmother was Indiana Cooksey who married Samuel Keely in Brookville, Indiana in 1862. They later came to Kansas (between 1884 and 1887) Her sister, Sarah, who married Thomas Keeler also came here. I don't know if they came together or if Sarah and Thomas came later. They had a son, Robert, who is buried in Union Cemetery at Winfield, Kansas along- side Samuel and Indiana Keely. Sarah and Indiana's parents are Isaac and Caroline Cooksey of Brookville. Isaac was born 25 Sept 1826 and died 1 Oct 1904. His obit is in the Brookville Democrat, Oct. 13, 1904. I don't know much about the Keelers, but you will find them listed in the 1860 census for Franklin County, Brookville, Ind. There are three families listed at household #368, 372, and 385. I believe all are related. Charles and Hannah and family are #372. In the 1880 census Thomas and Sarah are at household #353, same county and twp. I have never followed up on Sarah Keeler. She was living at Hudson, Kansas according to Indiana Keely's obit in 1922. Let me know if I can be of more help. Sincerely,
