Josiah Cooksey is my 5th grandfather.He was born 1764 in Maryland.He died 1853 in Dekalb County Tenn.His Wife's name was Charity.She was born 1775 in N.C. and died 1850's in Dekalb County, Tenn.They had a Daughter named Mary who was born 1801 in N.C..Mary married a William (Billy) Colwell who was born about 1793 in Kentucky.Mary and Bill are both buried in Dekalb County,Tenn.The Colwell/Caldwell lines are in the same family lines.A dispute between brothers caused the name to be changed.
