I don't know how much help this will be: My grandfather, Willis Chapman, was born and raised in Brookville, IN. His grandparents' names were Isaac CHAPMAN and Alice COOKSEY. Sounds like there might be some connection there, doesn't it? I don't know Isaac and Alice's dates of birth, but their first child was born ca. 1850.
