Lots of great info from you as always. I knew about the Quaker situation in the area, and I also wondered if that was why we weren't seeing Cookseys in uniform. But that just doesn't feel right, as both John and his first wife, Elizabeth Curry, are buried in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Leesburg! Another one of those mysteries of (genealogical) life.

Sorry about not responding sooner: entertaining folks from far away and a bout with the "Shanghai, Oh My!" flu kept me off-line. Now we're heading downstream on the Yangtze to see the three gorges before the dam floods them.
