I am descended thru John, son of Samuel Cooksey, Durham Parrish, Chas. Co., MD. Samuel's wife Christian Tennison probably was daughter of John and Elizabeth Shanks Tennison. John was son of John and Elizabeth Stiles Tennison, both born in England, maybe Yarmouth.Elizabeth Shanks was daughter of John and Abigail Brook Shanks. Abigail married 2nd to James Simmons circa 1686/87.
However, I have found a Christian Tennison, daughter of John Tennison and wife Sarah LeMaster. She, also, is the right age to have married Samuel Cooksey!! Which is the right one? Sarah LeMaster's parents were Abraham LeMaster b France 1639 and his wife Elizabeth Alice COOKSEY. They were m in St Marys Co., MD., circa 1644. HELP!!!
