Researching: Nancy COOKSEY, b. (either Johnston County, NC or Edgecombe District, SC) abt. 1770. Nancy married William CAPPS Jr. around 1791. William was in Edgefield SC District
in 1790. There were several COOKSEY families in the same area at the time, including the family of Cornelius COOKSEY. I have had two other reaserchers tell me Nancy had brothers Hezakiah and Thomas.
I have a great deal of information on the COOKSEY name, but haven't been able to put Nancy's puzzle piece in the right place! If anyone has a clue to which of the COOKSEY families she belonged to, I would love to hear from you.
