George Washington Cooksey

Cooksey Researchers:

I continue to seek any info on George Washington Cooksey, or Washington Cooksey, or "Uncle Wash" who was b. ca 1812 in Warren County, Tn., the son of Enoch Cooksey. He is listed as a head of household on the 1840 Warren County, Tn. census. We have no further records for him.
Family legend has him going to Texas with his brother John C., but no records can be found.
I suspect he was in the Mexican War, but have no records. He is not mentioned on his father's 1847 will, indicating he is deceased (disinherited?)at that time. Can anyone help?
I have detailed info on most of Enoch's other children, all 15 of them, if anyone needs it.
