I have Samuel Cooksey son of John C. and Zelpha Rayburn . Sam was born 1811 in Ga. He married Cynthia around 1830 in Ms. They had 8 children. He is buried in Lake, Ms. His home still stands. He served in 3rd Ms. infantry at Meridan, Ms.
