I have a William, son of Wilson but no birth date. The date you have fits with what I have for siblings as follows:
John - b. 1813, Mary Ellen b. 1823, Wilson b. 1836, Martha b. ?, William b. ?

Do you know names of siblings of your William? Does this fit?
