Thomas and Caroline Cooksey were slaves residing in Navarro count Texas. Thomas was born in 1819 in Georgia, my great grandfather was a child during slavery, his name was Rufus.
We have some information from the census file.. They lived on a farm owned by J. B. Cookskey in Chatfield Texas. Let me hear from you. I have more information. We have quiet a study compiled.
