Dear Chris, I tried very hard to help solve this mystery for you. I didn't find out where these 3 girls came from but hopefully some of the other information I found can help you solve it. Otto Ross Cooksey Son of Vincent Henry Cooksey and Margaret Ann Pirtle - Born January 8, 1875 - Died 1937 - Buried in the Shepherd Cemetery in Sullivan County, Indiana - Married Arminta Watson on July 4, 1893 in Greene County, Indiana ----born Feb. 15, 1875 and died Feb. 16, 1902 and buried in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Greene Co., Indiana - Married Maude M. Simpkins on June 25, 1902 - Married Flora Wolfe ----born in 1872 and died in 1944 and buried in Sheppard Cemetery - Census Records: 1880: Morgan Township, Greene County, Indiana ----Listed with Father Vincent Henry and mother Margaret Ann Pirtle Cooksey, age 5, born in Indiana. 1900: Van Buren Township, Clay County, Indiana ---- Listed as a boader, age 26, married for 7 years, birth date however doesn't match up (august 1873) so I dont know if this is him. 1910: Busseron Township, Knox County, Indiana ---- Listed with wife Flora, Stepson Urban Dickson (Dixon) and sons, Chester, Paul and Otto. By 1910 Otto Ross Cooksey had been married 3 times. His 3rd wife had been married twice. Otto and Flora had been married for 5 years. Flora was the mother of 6 children, only 4 living in 1910. - I found a marriage record that states that Flora E. Wolfe was married to J.L. Dixon on November 1, 1891 in Knox County, Indiana. - I'm a bit confused about a 1900 census record I found for Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana. It lists J.L. Dickson as the head of the household, Age 29, Born May 1871, Alice E. Dickson as his wife (or daughter one is written over the other) age 31 born December 1868 and son Urban Dickson born June 1895. The census also states that J.L. and Alice E had been married for 2 years and that Alice was the mother of 3 with one child living in 1900. Also states Alice was born in Kentucky. Doesn't quite match Flora. Just a thought maybe...J.L. was married to Alice before he married Flora and Urban is not Flora's son but stepson? - 1920: Brushy Lake Township, Cross County, Arkansas ---- Lists Otto R., 57 born in Indiana with wife Flora and sons Chester, Paul V., Otto W. 1930: Linton, Greene County, Indiana ---- Lists Otto R. as a logdger 43 and windowed age 17 at the time of his first marriage and born in indiana, working as a farmer. Age isn't right and he wasn't widowed. Don't know if it is the same guy or not. - In 1930 Flora, 58 was living with son Paul and his wife census states that she had been married for 34 years. I found a grave for an Eva Pansy Cooksey died as an infant in 1922 buried in Solsberry Cemetery in Solsberry, Greene County, Indiana. Don't know if this is anything or not. By the way, Otto Ross Cooksey is the brother of my Great Great Grandfather Walter L. Cooksey. If you need anymore help or any help with anyone else in the family, I'm researching too and have found a lot of information... I hope I helped some. Notify Administrator about this message?
