Simpson Cooksey appears to have died by 1860
Prby Union Co., Ohio his 2nd wife Sarah Ann Diane (Johns) Cooksey is in her parents household in the Jefferson twp Union Co., Ohio 1860 Census.
James W Cooksey b ca 1848 Virginia- last child of Simpson and Mary (Fairfax) Cooksey, is in the David Sterling Household in York twp Union Co., 1860 Ohio Census.
Interesting I looked and David Sterling is next door to a Jacob Rodenbaugh.
And you know my James Kimber Cooksey, youngest son of Alexander and Lousia (Erwin) Cooksey, married Lillie Zuella Hogeboom, whose mother was Lucy Almary Rodenbaugh. So here is James Kimber Cooksey's Uncle living next door to a Rodenbaugh in 1860 Union Co., Ohio.
Lucy Almary Rodenbaugh was born in Summit Co.Ohio to William Rodenbaugh born 1819 PA., I think Jacob Rodenbaugh might be an Uncle of William Rodenbaugh.
Anyway, Simpson Cooksey's youngest son George W Cooksey was born 10 Aug 1859 Union Co., Ohio. he married Liberty/Bertha Lacy 22 june 1882 Lima, Allen Co., Ohio. George W Cooksey died 8 Dec 1930, Lima Allen Co.,Ohio. Simpson Cooksey would have had to have been alive at least 9 months prior to George's birth, makes sense so he prby died sometime btw 1859 and 1860. Hope this helps.
