Found on Smith co Tn rootsweb site.
"John Rogers to talk with Br. James Kooksey to know the reasons he did not attend our Church meetings.." July 1841
Aug 1841 "case of James B. Cooksey,,it gave no satisfaction..the church say exclude him.."
Apr 1844"Elizabeth Caskey brought forward to the church and excluded for disorderly conduct"
Earlier there were Caskey's in the records..1837ish, these are transcribbed records, so may be cooksey?
