Hi everyone! I live in South Wales, UK and my grandmother's maiden name was Esther Annie Cooksey. She was born in Blaenavon, about 10 miles from where I live here in Abertillery. In the 1920's, she married my grandfather, Arthur Albert Ernest Nixey who was born in the city of Bath in 1898. In 1927 my father, Arthur Ernest Nixey was born, and then two years later in 1929 my uncle Jack was born. My grandmother died when I was about 3 or 4, and I have just one memory of her, seeing her lying in a hospital bed, I was outside looking through the window at her. I know some of my grandmother's family moved to Australia back in the 1920's. My great grandmother died when my grandmother was only about 6 months old. My great grandfather re-married to someone with the surname Hillier. Does anyone have any furhter information, or is anyone related to this side of the Cooksey family? Hope to hear from someone soon.
