Newton Co. Ms Cooksey come from William Cooksey 1754-1828 who married Leanna Wesley. Their children were John C, George, James, Samuel, William Elston, Mary (m Robert Watson), Nancy E (m John Parks), George W.

William born 1754 is thought to be the son of William Cooksey b ~1732 and Melinda Posey
