I have become very interested in Cooksey family tree, particularly for the UK branches. I am from Sedgley in the Midlands of England, born 04 March 1940 to Gilbert Cooksey and Eva (Evelyn) Cooksey nee Hartil. Have a few links from LDS information linking Sedgley family to Arthur Cooksey who was from Worcester in England in 1646. There is also a Tom Cooksey in the Sedgley history at about 1670 I think. There is a family tradition to call the eldest son of the eldest son "Thomas" - always called Tom. This tradition broke down in my fathers generation - his elder brother was called Tom, but HE called his son Roy, Roy died without issue, so I called my younger son Tom when I found out about the tradition !
