I wonder if your Cookseys are my Cookseys...
My first recorded Cooksey is George Washington Cooksey, from Greene Co, MO, b 18 Apr 1839; m Rebeccah Almanza Mitchell 3 Feb 1868. They had 5 children: Sarrah Charlotte, b 3 June 1870, d 18 Dec 1933; John Berry b 9 Jan 1873, d 11 Dec 1873; George Thomas b 17 Sep 1875, d ? 1960's ? (my ggrandfather); Walter P b 4 Dec 1878, d 21 Ap 1879; Almanzia E Cooksey, b 8 Jan 1889, d ?. All my information has George Thomas moving to Willow in old Greer Co Texas before my grandfather was born in 1901. This area is now in Greer Co, OK.
Let me know if this is the same branch! Looking forward to hearing from a cousin!
