Hi,
My grandmother's maiden name was Cooksey, and she married William Turley Brookes:her first name was Mary.They arrived in Canada about 1910- she had a sister Hilda, who emigrated to Victoria ,BC Canada and died a spinster about 1965. She also had 3 brothers, by the names of Fred, Royal, and ? who ended up in Rhodesia after the Boer war.
Fred had the largest tobacco farm in the British Empire b4 WW2. We've lost touch with this side after Fred and Royal died in early 1970's.
My great grandmother's first name was Elizabeth.
