Benj Cook was born in Snow Creek, Franklin Co., Va,on Jan 20, 1758. was married to Sally Fuqua, fought in the Revolutionary War in Capt John Marshall's 7th Va. regiment, and died in 1824. His father was John Cook, also of Snow Creek. His father was Benj Cook, who was married to Margaret. His father was Thomas Cook, of "Woodbury", in Gloucester Co., Va. He was a prominent member of the vestry of Petsworth Parish between 1698-1732.
His father was Mordecai Cook, b.approx 1632,
immigrated from Suffolk England around 1639,
married Susannah Thresher in 1648, and died before 1667 in Gloucester Co., Va. He had 4 sons. His father was John Cook of Suffolk, England.
