Nathaniel Cooke, Died 5/19/1688. Lydia Voor or Vore was the daughter of Richard and Ann Vore. She died 6/24/1698. 7 children and I'm descended from the 6th, John. I have notes as follows: "Mr. Charles E. Gross of the law firm Gross, Hyde & Shipman of Hartford wrote under the date of 1/3/1897 that Nathaniel was with Captain Aaron (Cooke) in Dorchester in 1630 and they evidently came together to Windsor CT in 1639. Nathaniel is supposed to have been the oldest child of Captain Aaron Cooke. The Torrington records put him down as the oldest child of Captain Aaron Cooke and say 'Nathaniel, son of Captain Aaron Cooke' but as Nathaniel is not mentioned in Aaron's will and some claim that Nathaniel and Aaron were brothers instead of father and son, although the weight of testimony is on the other side, we drop out Major (?) Aaron and call Nathaniel the first in our direct line and we find that he came to Dorchester MA in 1629-1630 as stated in several histories."

If you have any info that may confirm or deny this, I'd appreciate it.
