Cooke's of Rhode Island?

I have record that a Martha Patience Cooke married Stephen Ward on Nov.4, 1780 in Oxford MA. Supposedly her father was a gov./lueit. gov. of the Rhode Island Plantations, possibly Nicholas Cooke. I have no other leads as to her parents and no birth date. Anyone know who she was?
