I am looking for any information on my first Cooke American ancestors. Stories would be wonderful!
Here is the information I have about ELIZABETH COOKE:
born: 8 Sept 1611 Wisset, Norwich,Suffolk, England.
married: John (Joseph) LAWRENCE
in Watertown,Middlesex,Mass 1635
she died, 29 Aug.1663 in Groton, MIddlesex, Mass. Her son to whom I descend from is Nathaniel Lawrence born in Watertown,M,Mass October 15, 1639.
Elizabeth Cooke's father and mother are:
AARON COOKE and Elizabeth CHARDE(Chard)both born in Bridgport,Dorset, England.
AARON Cooke born 1585.
Elizabeth Charde born 1586.Married in Bridport,D, England, 25 September 1610. She died April 18, 1643 in Windsor, H, Connecticut. Elizabeth's father's name is Thomas Chard born Feb. 27, 1567, he married 21 April 1590 to Elizabeth Buncrom of Dorset, England born abt 1569. I have nothing further.
Aaron Cooke died about four years later after their marriage in Dec. 1615 in Bridport, England. His parents are estimates of place and time of birth and marriage. So it stops at this point.
