Hi Kate, What a wonderful surprise! Here I thought I was just pointing out something that you might already know. I never guessed you would come back with information that would be extremely helpful for me. I have not heard from Nancy, but I would dearly love to. Would you be kind enough to pass on the message? She can contact me via my personal e-mail -- avoca@allstream.net -- or even call me at home 514-937-2131. You could use either, too, if you like. I came across the marriage of Duncan McPhee & Jane Cousins many years ago. I never knew his DOB but I see that you indicate 1814. That would make him a prime candidate for a brother of my great-great grandfather, Donald, who is buried in the Scotch Road Cemetery. I don't know very much about Donald's siblings. I suspect they all came over with their parents in 1821. I have just written an article about that emigration. It would be wonderful to work with Nancy to try to put a few more pieces of the puzzle together. Another important thing. Since you know about the Scotch Road Cemetery and have roots in Grenville Township, we would love to add you to our mailing list of members of the Scotch Road Cemetery Association. It costs nothing to join, although donations in any amount are always welcome at any time. We can offer Canadian citizens an official tax receipt for amounts over ten dollars. However, this is really not about donations. It has much more to do with rallying support for the preservation of an historic cemetery and attempting to provide a forum for genealogical and historical research into the settlers of Grenville Township through our website. We would love to be able to count you amongst the friends of the Cemetery. Regards, Cecil Notify Administrator about this message?
