Hi Frank,

My gggGrandfather's (Lazarus) brother was Ephraim Cook, born July 30, 1751 in VA. Ephraim was in Duplin County, NC in 1770-80s, but left before the 1790 census. Ephraim was the son of William and Naomi Cook that were born in the Isle of Wight County, VA. William and Naomi lived in Surry and Sussex Counties, VA. After William died in Northampton County, NC, 0n 1758, Naomi and most of the kids moved to the Duplin and Sampson Counties, NC area. William's father and most of his siblings spelled their surname with an "E". Do you think that we had a connection?

Jim Cooke
