Mary (Cooke) Taber m. ---- Davis

I believe my ancestor Anne Davis, of Tiverton, RI, who married Abiel Tripp in 1711 in Dartmouth, MA, was probably the daughter of Mary (Cooke) Taber, widow of Philip Taber, Jr. By Taber, her last child was born in 1687. Anne was born about 1690, according to the births of her own children. Mary (Cooke) Taber was known as Mary Davis in 1693 and was a widow in 1694. Can anybody guess who Mr. Davis was? It was not Aaron Davis.
