Hi Shirley,
My Newfoundland geography is limited. Are either of your two towns near Paradise, Plecentia Bay. My ancestor William Cooke lived there in the early l800's. It is said that one of his sons, George, was a sailor and he went back to Newfoundland after his father died in l865.
Anything sound familiar ?
