Barbara was a daughter of Abraham Cooke, Jr(died 1748) & Sarah (McAllister?). He was born in the 1690's in St Peter's Parish, New Kent, to Abraham Cooke Sr and, we believe, Martha Clayton.
Barbara's sister, Frances, married James Hester before 1748.
