William Cooke Isle of Wight VA b 1615?

Looking for information on William Cooke who settled in the Blackwater River area of Isle of Wight, VA in the mid-1600s. Wife was Mary ??? There was a transportee of that name in 1636. In 1664 he patented 1100 acres with William Miles. In 1669 he and wife Mary conveyed land to Thomas Carter Jr. Looking for connection with William and Elinor (Cooke?) who married Thomas Carter Sr. I realize this Carter line has been done to death because of the connection to ex-prez Jimmy Carter, but I'd appreciate any help on the possible Cooke connection.
